Meet MAUN Project Team: INVEEL

💡 Inveel GmbH is a spin-off company of the Paul Scherrer Institut in Switzerland – an experienced team with over 14 years in nanoengineering, materials science and electronics technologies, driven to introduce the highest resolution and cost-effective printed electronics solutions.

Inveel specialises in the development of high-resolution sensory skins that provide robots with a sense of touch. They have innovated a groundbreaking technology that integrates nanometer-precise sensors on large-area artificial skins, enhancing tactile perception for versatile and precise robotic interactions. The pioneering technology enables precise sensor printing on flexible materials, emulating lifelike skin and offering the capability to detect object presence, positions within the hand, and applied forces during grasping. This innovation leads to sensor-rich, flexible robotic hands, allowing fine motor control, hence revolutionising robotics.

💡 In the MAUN project Inveel acts as the Programme Component Partner (PCP), focusing its research efforts on delivery of the polymer skin embedded with force and proximity sensors, enhancing real-time interaction and adaptability of the robotic hand.
